    Hi guys,

Great show last week. I agree this is an important topic that isn’t discussed enough.

Self awareness of managers can be the difference between a good agency and a great agency. You can have great clients, interesting projects and a fun team, but that can be easily wiped out by managers who have little to no self awareness and wreak havoc on their teams. If the team dynamics are disfunctional, then everything else suffers including the work and team morale. And don’t think clients don’t notice either. I actually had a client ask me once if I was leaving a firm because of them, because they had so much account staff turnover on their business in a short period of time. It actually had nothing to do with the client, rather the overall working environment. Of course I diplomatically reassured them that they were certainly not the cause of the exodus on their business.

To those who hire agencies instead of working for them, if you notice considerable turnover on your business, perhaps its time to look at the bigger picture and whether your agency is the right partner for you.

Keep up the great work gentlemen!

  2. While you may hare the expression “Key Learnings”, I suspect it is based on the phrase “Key Earnings”.

Sometimes a pun is the only memory that remains… and annoys.

  3. Although it pains me, Leona, I’ll give that one to Terry. I hate the fact that his humour can sometimes extend beyond the usual corny pun. He definitely lobbed it up in the air and I hit it out of the park. He’s a great straight man.
