  1. I’d like to offer a counterpoint to Chris’ contribution about being a student and lifelong learning.

    I propose that if you are not constantly learning at your job, you have the wrong job. You can be a full time student anywhere in life if you have the right attitude. In fact, I would argue that real learning doesn’t begin until you initiate and lead your own learning. Typically that doesn’t occur until you have finished your institutional education.
